Abstract: The human brain is a complex system with dynamic interactions among various brain regions that operate in a large-scale network. Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), which has been applied widely in understanding the interworking of the brain, has provided an unprecedented opportunity to study various brain disorders, such as depression, Alzheimer’s disease, and schizophrenia, and may represent the key to the early diagnosis of such diseases. In this talk, we present some results on detecting the functional abnormality of mental patients, which may be the biomarker of such diseases.
