杨志坚,1999年于北京大学数学科学学院获得学士学位,2001年获硕士学位。2006年于普林斯顿大学应用与计算数学专业获博士学位,2006至2008年在加州理工学院航空航天实验室从事博士后研究。2009年至2010年在罗彻斯特理工学院担任助理教授。2010年6月至今任武汉大学数学与统计学院教授。入选湖北省“百人计划”。研究领域为材料科学中的多尺度建模与计算。
Abstract:
This talk presents an absorbing boundary condition for molecular dynamics simulations of materials defects. The purpose of the boundary condition is to eliminates spurious reflections of phonons at the boundary and minimize the finite size effect. In contrast to other existing methods, our emphasis is placed on the ease of implementation. In particular, we propose a method for which the implementation can be done within existing molecular dynamics code, and it is insensitive to lattice structure, the geometry and space dimension of the computational domain. To demonstrate the effectiveness, the results from two test problems are presented.
